WOMEN IN BLACK HISTORY-Civil rights activist, Ella Baker, born in Norfolk, Virginia, on December 13, 1903 worked with the NAACP, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and co-founded the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. Ella Baker was one of the leading figures in the civil rights movement and was consulted by many to help organize marches, sit-ins and protest. The leaders we know so well would not have been successful without Ella Baker. #bhm#knowyourhistory#kyeo#kyeoblackhistory#knowher
